MOT4Rivers project update
The MOT4Rivers team will showcase their latest research progress. The project led by Professor Andrew Tyler at University of Stirling, is part of the NERC Freshwater Quality Programme.

MOT4Rivers research team
The study, which was awarded funding of £2million from the Natural Environment Research Council, is investigating how pollutants interact with rivers and ecosystems, and will devise a system to monitor and measure pollution. The study focusses on the River Almond Catchment, in West Lothian.
This project is the first of its kind to investigate the effect of contaminants and their mixtures on biological communities, from catchment to national scale, looking at current conditions and those in the future.
MOT4Rivers will inform priorities for policy regulation and investment to design cost effective programme of measures to improve sustainable freshwater ecosystems under a changing climate.
Project partners are University of Glasgow, The James Hutton Institute, UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, The School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, and is supported by Scottish Water.
This webinar is one of a series on a range of related topics organised by the Champions team for the NERC Freshwater Quality programme. The webinars are designed to help promote communications and interactions between researchers, the policy community, business and practitioners who can all shape future UK freshwater quality.
Each webinar includes a 30 minute presentation with time for questions afterwards. The presentations are recorded - watch the up-to-date playlist here.
