Susannah provides research and innovation support for water@leeds, including the coordination and development of a range of large-scale international funding applications, assistance with funding strategy and facilitating  knowledge exchange with a variety of industrial and non-academic partners. Susannah has held previous posts in pre- and post-award grant management and research support.

Susannah is from an arts and humanities background and holds a PhD in History from the University of Hull for research into North American Indigenous history and culture. Her research interests include the American West, North American Indigenous treaties, political sovereignty and Indigenous use of space and the environment.
