Irene Mussio is a Lecturer in Economics at the Business School. Her research interests include environmental, behavioural and health economics. She investigates the relationship between risk and behaviour using a range of tools, including experimental and valuation methods. Irene is currently working on the impact of environmental and natural hazards on individual behaviour, health and the perception of risk in decision-making. This includes floods, cyclones, heatwaves and other hazards and their impact on mortality and morbidity of at-risk populations. Irene is currently working in the UK, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Uruguay and Chile.
