She facilitates the development of multidisciplinary partnerships involving academics and government agencies, NGOs and SME’s to find solutions for water-related issues. She has an MSc in Rural Development and Natural Resources from ECOSUR (Mexico) and a PhD in Plant Ecophysiology from the University of Sheffield (UK). Her research interests include natural resources management, research network facilitation, climate change, tropical forests, ecoinformatics, research data management and data-driven decision making. She has experience in the development of software applications for research and writing code tools for reproducible research. She has worked with international networks on climate change and forest function. She has worked in Mexico, Peru, Brazil and the UK. She is the Project Manager of HyCRISTAL, an international project which focuses on tropical East Africa.
