Hi-RISE field training

During our sampling trips to the Everest region in April 2025 and October 2025, expedition guides from Himalayan Research Expeditions and porters from local villages were keen to develop new skills. Our research team trained several individuals in field techniques including invertebrate sampling, water filtration and using handheld sensors to measure water quality parameters, so that they were then able to assist the scientific team with their work.
