Welcome to the Hi-RISE programme webpages.

Hi-RISE incorporates several funded projects:

(1) a UK Natural Environment Research Council funded Pushing the Frontiers project (Implications of glacier retreat for aquatic biodiversity in the Himalayas - see this webpage).

(2) a University of Leeds PhD scholarship to Claudia Alvarado (Investigating Himalayan glacier retreat and its impacts on river ecosystems - see this webpage).

(3) Travel funding from The Mount Everest Foundation, the Society for Freshwater Science, and water@leeds.

(4) Research England impact support funding
