Visit of UN Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights to Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation
water@leeds was privileged to host Mr Pedro Arrojo-Agudo United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights to Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation at University of Leeds on 21 May 2025.
water@leeds Associate Director, Professor Julia Martin-Ortega hosted Mr Arrojo-Agudo for a day of activities which included a focus group where we heard about the work of water@leeds members and how they can support UN water efforts.
The day concluded with a Public Lecture where Mr Arrojo Agudo gave an inspiring and powerful speech on the basis of his latest Special Report: Water and economy nexus: managing water for productive uses from a human rights perspective.
