16th National Hydrology Symposium (BHS2026) : Reimagining Hydrology for a Changing World
We are delighted to be partnering with BHS to host this event which will be at University of Leeds, 2nd to 4th September.
Registration opens Monday 2 March. Abstract submissions are now open (see below).
The 16th National Hydrology Symposium (BHS2026) will showcase a broad range of hydrological work across the following themes:
- Hydrology in a changing climate: Floods, Droughts & Transitions
- International hydrology and global perspectives
- Observations and sensors
- Ecohydrology, water quality and hydrology for health
- Collaborative hydrology - Communities, policy, practice and finance
- Water resources hydrology
- Groundwater hydrology
- Digital tools / digital water – Artificial intelligence, modelling and FEH updates
The programme will include presentations, posters, workshops, discussions, field visits and a conference dinner. The symposium is expected to attract delegates from a range of sectors and organizations including universities, consultancy firms, water companies, public bodies, charities, and trusts.
Abstract submission: Please submit an abstract for a presentation or poster using the Abstract Submission Form. The submission window closes on Friday 3rd April 2026 but you are encouraged to submit an abstract as soon as possible. Authors will be notified of the outcome by Friday 8th May 2026.
