Policy brief of the water efficiency project
Dr Paola Sakai, Dr Ben Rabb (both from iCASP) together with Helen Miller from Leeds City Council just recently produced a policy brief that aims to support Leeds City Council’s proposal to adopt the reduced 110 l/day water usage target that is consistent with the national (and other regional) policies.
The iCASP researchers have been using their expertise to pull together the evidence for a water saving policy. Although 110 litres a day is recognised as a sound benchmark, the brief suggests that an even more ambitious target could be achievable.
The advice to Leeds City Council Planners was presented as a policy brief which has been well received.
